Chapter 7 means liquidation. A trustee is still unwinding the estate - clawback lawsuits were still being filed in 2026 - but for homeowners, the practical answer arrived the day the doors closed: the installer is gone for good.
TL;DR
- The workmanship warranty is effectively gone.
- Estimates are always free.

What that means for your system
The workmanship warranty is effectively gone. Sunworks marketed a 25-year parts-and-labor warranty; Solcius offered 10-year workmanship coverage. In a Chapter 7 liquidation, those promises become unsecured claims - and unsecured creditors typically receive nothing.
Manufacturer warranties survive. These systems commonly run SolarEdge inverters (some Enphase), under panels from LG, REC, Qcells, and - on older installs - SolarWorld. The equipment makers still stand behind their hardware; what's missing is someone licensed to diagnose the failure, swap the part, and file the paperwork. That's the gap we fill - and in many cases we can replace failed equipment at no cost to you under the manufacturer's warranty. Our inspection report tells us whether you qualify.
Your loan didn't go anywhere. Financing through Mosaic, GreenSky, and similar lenders survives the installer's failure - which is exactly why a dead system deserves urgency.
One more thing to know: in 2025, a California service company acquired Sunworks' and Solcius' customer data and monitoring platforms and offers paid maintenance plans. That can be a fine option - just know it's a subscription service, not your old warranty, and you're free to have any licensed contractor service a system you own.
